An essential oil is a highly concentrated, fragrant, dynamic and volatile essence extracted from a plant. Each oil has a highly complex chemistry, making is impossible to reproduce synthetically. All essential oils have anti-bacterial properties and each oil performs several therapeutic functions, including: stimulating circulation, lowering blood pressure or reducing scar tissue or stretch marks. Easing muscular aches and pains, arthritic and rheumatic conditions, respiratory problems, skin disorders and menstrual and digestive disorders. Each oil has its own individual properties although many share the same ones.
After Treatment Advice
Avoid washing any oils off the skin for 12 – 24 hours after a massage treatment
Drink plenty of fresh water/herb teas
Avoid consumption of alcohol
Avoid using any further bath oils after receiving a massage treatment
Eat a light diet
Rest and relax as much as possible
Avoid ultra-violet light exposure following an aromatherapy treatment
After a treatment you may experience any of the following physical effects: nausea, headache, tiredness or excessive urination
If Using Essential Oils At Home
Keep any oils out of the reach of children
Do not ingest
Store in dark/opaque bottles, keep out of the light
When using oils in the bath, run the water first before adding only 2-3 drops of the oil
If using oils in the bath do not use soap or add any bubble bath
